There is a huge debate about the ‘National Standards’ at present. We will continue to seek the very best progress for our students towards and beyond the national standards. Breakfast in Schools (BISKIT):
This project is being managed by Auckland University and sponsored by Fonterra and Sanitarium. All students are welcome to have a free breakfast of weetbix and milk and hopefully toast. However, we would like up to 40 students to take part in the research project which is looking at the links between eating breakfast and improved student achievement. This will simply involve the students, the parents and the teacher filling out a couple of surveys throughout the year and the school providing academic data. We begin Monday 22 February and could use some parent help from 7:45am to 8:40am to help manage and tidy up after the students have gone to class.
